Tic-80 Game Jam

In English:

I invite you on Tuesday 11.02. to a short game jam that will be done entirely inside the Tic-80 fantasy console!

Tic-80 is an open source game engine that includes a code editor, tools for drawing sprites and making maps, and even a music and audio effect designer. Thanks to that, you can make a small 2D pixel art game very easily and in a short time.

At the beginning, I will present the Tic-80 through a short presentation, and then it’s up to you to make something in the next couple of hours

I’ve just finished my first game for TIC-80!

I’d be happy to see your high scores, read your feedback and tips, and get help with the cover art, sounds, or music.

Congrats!
It is very interesting game, I think it has potential to be a good learning tool for Morse code.

As someone who knows only few letters of the code, i would suggest that you introduce letters gradually. It seems to me that form the start you can get any letter. Also, I would suggest to gradually introduce types of enemies (maybe with different color). I was a little bit confused because in each generation i would get enemies that behave differently.

It is hard sometimes, when letters chase you and you don’t know the code! But is is fun.

Thank you for your feedback! Happy to hear it =)

This game initialy wasn’t intended to be an educational one, so I really want to keep it “evil” and challenging for the sake of replayability: if losing is inevitable, then let it be quick and fun.

I wanted it to be easy to start a new game after losing, so I didn’t create a long intro or tutorial. Maybe it’s a good idea to add a few difficulty levels in the furute, but I’m too lazy for now

I’ve tune the first waves of enemies after your comment to make it less messy. That was a good idea, thank you =)

P.S.: During the chasing you could dash with a dash (pun intended) and use the hint appearing under the letter -_^
