Hello!
We’re writing to you because you’ve already organized events related to
Linux and FOSS. We wanted to ask if you’d like to participate in Linux
Presentation Day [LPD].
(This email is a one-time message, so don’t forget to subscribe to the
mailing list if you’d like to receive future updates.)
The next date is October 17, 2026.
Around this date, numerous events will once again take place worldwide.
Linux-Presentation-Day [LPD] is a distributed series of events that
takes place twice a year around a specific target date.
The goal is to raise public awareness of topics such as: Linux, free
software, a free society, regaining control over one’s own data, and
reducing dependencies.
The LPD-ORGA supports organizers by providing websites, information,
media, resources, press relations, and more.

If you’re participating, please list your event on LEO well in
advance(!) to ensure visibility.
It’s easy: Register, confirm your email, and log in.
Then you can manage any entries—you can list any events, as long as
they’re related to Linux, FOSS, Spaces, Makers, etc.

After all, joint public appearances and coordinated communication
efforts are noticed more by the media than a small group doing

Einladung zum Linux-Presentation-Day [LPD]
Hallo!
Wir schreiben Euch an da Ihr bereits Veranstaltungen im Bereich Linux
und FOSS auf die Beine gestellt habt und wollten Euch fragen, ob Ihr am
Linux-Presentation-Day [LPD] teilnehmen möchtet.
(Diese Rundmail ist eine einmalige Aktion, vergesst daher nicht euch
ggf. auf der Mailingliste einzutragen.)
Der nächste Stichtag ist der 17. Oktober 2026.
Um diesen Termin herum, finden Weltweit dann wieder zahlreiche
Veranstaltungen statt. Beim Linux-Presentation-Day handelt es sich um
eine verteilte Veranstaltungreihe die zweimal im Jahr um einen Stichtag
herum statt findet. Ziel ist es, die Öffentlichkeit für Themen wie
Linux, freie Software, eine freie Gesellschaft zu sensibilisieren, die
Kontrolle über die eigenen Daten zurückzugewinnen und Abhängigkeiten zu
reduzieren.
Die LPD-ORGA unterstützt dabei Veranstalter duch Vorhalten von
Webseiten, Information, Medien, Ressourcen, Pressearbeit und mehr.

Wenn ihr mitmacht, tragt bitte Eure Veranstaltung zeitig(!) auf LEO ein
um die Sichtbarkeit zu gewährleisten.
Das geht einfach: Registrieren, Bestätigungsmal, und Anmelden.
Dann könnt Ihr beliebige Einträge verwalten - Es können beliebige
Veranstaltungen eingetragen werden, sofern diese was mit LINUX, FOSS,
Spaces, Maker,etc. zu tun haben.
Zu LEO geht es hier, Eure Einträge werden nach einiger Zeit automatisch
in die Site l-p-d.org übernommen:

Alles nach dem Motto: Gemeinsam sind wir stark!
Denn gemeinsame Auftritte in der Öffentlichkeit, durch bündeln der
Kommunikation, etc. werden von den Medien besser wahrgenommen als eine
kleine Gruppe die 'irgendwas' macht. Darum versuchen wir alle zu
vernetzen um mehr ins Bewusstsein der Leute zu rücken. Dazu gibt es
